Everything you need to know before joining the Thandile Wildheart Program.

Location and travel
– Location: Bela-Bela, Limpopo, South Africa
– Nearest airport: OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg)
– Travel time: approximately 2 hours by car
– Airport transfer available: €70 per trip
We highly recommend using our transfer service, as we are located on a gravel road and this ensures a smooth and safe arrival.

– Located on a private property in a safe and natural environment
Accomodation and stay
– Minimum stay: 3 weeks
– Shared accommodation with other volunteers of the same gender (when fully booked)
– A combination of self-prepared and shared meals (groceries and basic supplies are provided)
– Small groups to keep the experience personal
– Accommodation is located on the ranch, either in the guesthouse or bush camp, depending on availability
Musthaves
– Power bank
– South African plug adapter (can also be purchased locally)
– Flashlight or headlamp (useful for evenings on the ranch)
Clothing
– Closed shoes that can get dirty (riding boots, work boots or anything you’re comfortable in)
– Long pants for riding (jeans or riding breeches — whatever you prefer)
– A riding helmet if you like to use your own.
– Warm clothing for cooler mornings and evenings (especially in winter)
– Comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor work
Please keep in mind that most of the work is outdoors, and although it’s Africa, it can still rain — so come prepared for different weather conditions.
