Application Process
Your Wildheart journey starts before you arrive in South Africa.
We like to keep our program personal. Every volunteer comes to Thandile with a different story, different experience and different expectations. That’s why we prefer to get to know each other a little before you officially join us.
The application process is simple, personal and completely without obligation at first.
1. Schedule a WhatsApp call
Interested in joining the Wildheart Program? The first step is a relaxed WhatsApp video call with us. This gives us the chance to meet you, hear what you’re looking for and tell you more about life at Thandile.
2. Let’s get to know each other
During the call, we’ll talk about your horse experience, what you hope to get out of your stay and any personal needs or preferences you may have. It’s also the perfect moment to ask us anything — from daily life and accommodation to horses, activities and travelling to South Africa.
You don’t need to prepare anything. It’s simply a conversation to see whether the Wildheart Program feels like the right fit for you.
3. Ready to join?
If after the call you feel excited and confident about joining us, we’ll send you our application form. Here you can share your preferred dates, personal information, riding experience and everything else we need to prepare for your stay.
4. Secure your spot
Once your application has been accepted, you can secure your place by paying the 20% deposit. After that, your Wildheart adventure officially starts — and we’ll help you prepare for your trip to South Africa.
